Georgia O'Keeffe: Portrait Of An Artist
“Georgia O’Keeffe” 1977, Documentary, 60 minutes. Directed by Perry Miller Adato. An award film when it was first released – including a history-making Directors Guild of America Award for Adato, the first female filmmaker to win the honor – only 2000 VHS issues were ever released. The only portrait of Georgia O’Keeffe allowed by the artist was shot in and around the painter’s studio in New Mexico, as the then 88-year-old O’Keeffe reflects on her life and her marriage to Alfred Stieglitz.
