You get a film, you get a takeaway on the way home, and that’s your perfect Friday night in. This Deeper Into Movies documentary chronicles one of the last remaining DVD rental shops in the UK. For Your Eyes Only opened in 1998, and has been a staple in the Forest Hill community ever since. Owner Gulam Charania, kept the DVD rental experience alive, managing to outlive larger video chains, such as Blockbuster. Due to the changing times and difficulties throughout the pandemic, Gulam is being forced to close permanently after 25 years. This closure would be a huge loss to the video community, and we are doing all that we can to prevent this. A GoFundMe has been made in the hopes of raising £5,000 to save this South East London institution from closure.
